Green Times is an environmental newspaper focused on creative responses to climate change and other environmental challenges in South Africa. The GT seeks out good role models of climate leadership in the business and civilian sectors of our society. GT shares and educates by means of real-life stories of ordinary people taking leadership wherever they are. Their intention is to inspire, motivate and provide the information and knowledge needed to open new ways of thinking and responding to the challenges we’re faced with. The focus is on practical hands-on changes to help mitigate environmental destruction and support adaptation efforts. Stories are published daily online and an e-newspaper is sent out once a week. GT features green businesses and their innovative ideas, as well as case histories of greening corporate companies. The approach is participatory,  so anyone can send in stories. GT is training up eco journalists across the country via their online WRITE FOR EARTH course and have volunteers sending in stories from all the major areas, including Namibia and Swaziland.
